PETSCOP: Restored [PS1 Homebrew] » Devlog
v1.2:
Game:
- Underground - Graveyard: Mike and Care's "faces" can now be inspected more closely and saved to your notes list. This improvement makes the Face Puzzle much easier to complete.
- Underground - Tunnel + Underground - Museum: NPC Marvin has been added. He will appear here after the windmill camera cutscene.
- Underground - Library Basement: Toy Box is now locked by default. There is also different item inside.
- "Shadow Monster Man" (SMM) even has been fully added to the game. You need to find certain items in Underground level. After that you will receive a hint where the SMM event is located.
- Underground - Mirror Room: A new item "Small Key" has been added to the game and can be found here.
- A new level has been added: The Windmill (WINDMILL.PEN).
- Underground - Tunnel: The orange car event and NPC Belle (with eyes) have been added. Activation of this event leads to the end of the DEMO!
- Underground Desync - Graveyard: Fixed a fatal error due to memory overflow. After several updates, the level simply did not fit into RAM. The issue has been fixed by simplifying unnecessary geometry, removing unused textures, and reducing the size of the "heartbeat.vag" file (+ The sound volume has been increased).
- Collectibles sprites has been improved.
- NPC/Player sprites has been improved (Thanks to @Cheddar contribution (UPD: Andrewidot, Ian, JuanB7)).
- Updated animation files for NPC/Player and collectibles sprites.
- The Player sprite in main menu profile screen is now synched with the animation file.

Executable / Engine:
- Fixed a bug where EVENT_ON_WORLD_EVENT_SET_0-31 (EV_ID: 173-204) and EVENT_ON_WORLD_EVENT_NOT_0-31 (EV_ID: 205-236) was not working.
- Fixed a bug where IMPULSE_TELEPORT_TO_TGT was not working with the active camera used as the target output (Target Swap).
- IMPULSE_ACTOR_SET_WORK: A new work type has been added to the list. Impulse param 7 creates a new work order for an NPC: "Running in circles"
- Enabled previously missing colored fog support for all collectibles and question mark sprites.
- Fixed a bug where textures with CLUT/Palette has been rendered incorrectly in map with colored fog if CLUT-Y VRAM pos is not 0.
Level Editor (RSEngine.py):
- A new mode has been added to simplify working with navigation points:
- Navigation points are now have a spherical shape.
- A new property for navigation point entity: "auto_dist".
- If auto_dist property is enabled (not 0) and waypoint index set to -1, an automatical mode will be enabled.
- When 2 spheres are connected to each other, the game engine will automatically link two waypoints.
- Backwards compatible with old maps (manual linking), but !!! DO NOT USE manual and auto mode in the same level !!!
Debug Version:
- A new utility "World Event Editor" has been added in the "UTILITIES" list. Allows to modify world events.
